  3.                 Metro-X for Solaris x86
  4.  
  5. Metro Link is now offering its advanced Metro-X(TM) Server for 
  6. SunSoft's Solaris(TM) x86 operating environment. Metro-X is a 
  7. full-featured replacement for the standard X Windows server 
  8. included with Solaris x86. It exploits many new X server features, 
  9. such as a font server, scalable fonts, 3D graphics with the PEX 
  10. (PHIGS Extension to X) 3D library, and support for many additional 
  11. graphics chipsets.

  13. In a network environment the font server reduces the disk space 
  14. needed for fonts, by loading fonts remotely from the host server 
  15. as needed. The font server is transparent to clients, runs 
  16. independently of X, and can be used by non-X-based applications 
  17. written to take advantage of it. The scalable font technology 
  18. allows developers of WYSIWYG applications to enhance their text 
  19. displays with support for scalable bitmap and outline fonts of 
  20. unlimited point sizes.

  22. Metro-X provides Touch-Screen and International Keyboard support, 
  23. high-performance server optimizations for a broad array of 
  24. graphics cards, and resolutions up to 2048 x 2048, depending on 
  25. the card used.

  28. system, Metro-X offers exceptional price/performance value. The
